The Crown, by Kiera Cass, is a science fiction book about a new monarchy called Illea. Eadlyn is a princess. After Eadlyns mother has a heart attack she is told to fill in for her parents while her dad takes care of her mom. She is also in the middle of her own "Selection". The selection is when 35 suitors come and the princess spends 6 weeks with them a decides who she wants to marry. Eadlyn is down to her last 5 suitors and she doesn't know if she will ever find love.
A connection I made was how this book reminds me of another book I read called Divergent. These books are similar because they both are in a new government that is separated into groups. In the Crown they are separated into castes. In Divergent they are separated into factions. These books are also in the perspective of girls.
I love this book because it is Science Fiction. It talks about a monarchy and a new society. It also talks about a girl who becomes queen and is trying to find love.I think you should read this book because It involves lots of comedy and if you read divergent you would love this book.
